Describir a un animal en inglés IV

En las páginas anteriores has aprendido el nombre de algunos animales, sus partes del cuerpo, de qué se alimentan, dónde viven y lo que pueden o no pueden hacer.
Con esta información ya puedes comenzar la descripción del animal de forma detallada. 

Descripción de animales en inglés



Para que sea más sencillo, seguiremos un orden a la hora de describir a los animales:

  1. • Tamaño y color que tiene el animal
  2. • Parte del cuerpo que tiene y que destaque de su anatomía, acompañado de algún adjetivo.
  3. • De qué se alimenta.
  4. • Lo que puede o lo que no puede hacer.
  5. • Dónde vive.

Por ejemplo: 

• This is an owl, it is grey and small, it has got big yellow eyes and beautiful feathers. It eats other animals, specially mice. It can fly and see in the dark. It lives in the forest. You can see them at night.
Esto es un búho, es gris y pequeño, tiene ojos grandes amarillos y plumas bonitas. Come otros animales, especialmente ratones. Puede volar y ver en la oscuridad. Vive en el bosque. Puedes verlos por la noche.
         
• My favourite animal is the lion. It is strong, it has got a beautiful mane, big teeth and a long tail. It eats other animals. It can run fast and climb trees. It lives in Africa.
Mi animal favorito es el león, es fuerte, tiene una bonita melena, grandes dientes y una cola larga. Come otros animales. Puede correr rápido y trepar árboles. Vive en África.

Recuerda!!! 
• Cuando nos referimos a animales utilizamos el pronombre personal "It" como sujeto y no lo puedes omitir.

Look at that tiger! It has got big claws!
Mira ese tigre! Tiene grandes garras!

• Si queremos utilizar un adjetivo lo pondremos delante del sustantivo:

My favourite animal is the monkey. It has got a long tail.
Mi animal favorito es el mono. Tiene una larga cola.

A continuación, pulsa el reproductor y escucha cómo describimos a un cocodrilo. Fíjate en la pronunciación e intenta repetir cada frase.



Describe this animal (describe este animal).


This is a crocodile, it is big and green, it has got claws, scales and lots of teeth. It eats other animals and it lives in the water.

Esto es un cocodrilo, es grande y verde, tiene garras, escamas y muchos dientes. Come otros animales y vive en el agua.

RECUERDA! En el texto los verbos eat y live acaban en "s" porque acompañan a la tercera persona del singular "it". It eats..(Come...) It lives..(Vive...)

Exercise 9. Describe a los animales escribiendo las frases en el lugar correcto.Ve marcando las casillas correspondiente a las frases que vas escribiendo para que resulte más sencillo.Verifica luego las respuestas correctas.
